The Dollanganger Series Discussion

Well I hope to GOD you read my review of the first two (as long as it was) and I think that it would be best if I stick with just one subject of the book (for now) because otherwise I’ll be forever jumping around.

Although it was a terribly depressing book, I did like how V.C. Andrews allowed the mental illness to continue down the line from Grandmother, to mother, to Cathy, to son. I found it very believable and very disturbing, and it was fairly easy to trace the cause-and-effect pattern of it all. It begs the question of Nature vs. Nuture, in such case I do have faith in the power of learned behavior. Its something Ive seen firsthand in both good and bad circumstances.

What was something in the book that has really stuck with you?
